FLORENCE, Wis. – The Florence County Fair returns Aug. 26-28 for its 118th annual fair. As part of the fair this year, there are coloring contests available for everyone to enter. There are three different pictures that each person can color and enter in the fair.
The pictures can be found online at www.florencecountyfair.com under the “Special Entry Contests 2022” page. This contest is open to residents inside and outside of Florence County.
Entries will be judged based on five age groups with first through third cash prizes being awarded in each age group. Groups are ages: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12, 13-17 and 18 and older. Kids younger than five may enter a picture, and it will be judged. Ribbons will be awarded, but instead of prizes all kids under the age of five who enter will receive a coupon for a treat from the fair kitchen rather than a prize.
Those who wish to participate can print 1 to 3 of the pictures, color them and bring them to the fair on Wednesday, Aug. 24, between noon and 6 p.m. Pictures may also be printed and mailed to the Florence County Fair at: Florence County Fair; P.O. Box 704; Florence, WI 54121.
Other special exhibit contests that are open to all ages inside and outside of Florence County include: the Blue-Ribbon Artist Contest, Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest, Chocolate Chip Cookie Championship, Loop It – Loop Yarn Contest, Oreo Cookie Contest, Recycling Art Contest and Trail Cam Contest.
More information on all of these contests can be found online at www.florencecountyfair.com
